Weekends

August 10, 2008

I absolutely love weekends especially now being married and not having school to occupy my mind even while I’m trying to relax. Aaron and I like to relax and take life easy but still get some things accomplished like cleaning and doing laundry.

Today we went back to Trinity Baptist and had another great church experience. Their pastor was great and had a challenging message for the church. We are going to go to the young married’s sunday school class next week. It’s been literally years since I’ve been to a sunday school class. 6th grade was the last time I believe.

My interview with the hosiptal went very well. I met the lady who would be my boss and she is really cool. She seems approachable and wants to help in any way she can but she did mention that she is anal about people being on time to work which I agree with. This week I’m supposed to meet with the lady who has the job right now and talk with her. I really hope that everything will work out and I can be offered the job.

My sister Kimmy is coming back to Abilene tomorrow and I’m really looking forward to seeing her. We’re both hoping that we can spend more time together this year.

The Olympics have been on the TV ever since the opening ceremonies Friday night and Aaron and I have enjoyed watching them. In a little bit, gymnastics are coming on and that is my favorite sport of the summer Olympics. I’m excited to see them! Athletes amaze me and it is quite inspiring to see what they accomplish during the Olympic games. It will also be interesting to see what headways these games will make between China and the rest of the world.

By the way, the pork roast the other night didn’t turn out to be good at all. I think it was a combination between not high quality meat and a not very flavorful recipe. Oh well, you win some, you lose some.
